WYDOTWhy practice tests are state by state
Licensing is run by each state, so a permit test in one state is not the same as a permit test in another. Ages, holding periods, supervised hours, night limits and passenger rules all differ, and the questions follow.
Signs and many right-of-way rules are standard across the country, so much of what you learn carries over. That is why every state page combines state-specific questions with shared ones on signs, safe driving and sharing the road.
